Dr Simon Riches is a warm, compassionate psychologist who provides a collaborative therapeutic space that is attuned to clients’ values and goals. He has extensive experience treating a range of mental health-related difficulties, including issues with mood, depression, anxiety, worry, stress, low self-esteem, recovery from trauma, difficulties with social skills and anxiety in social situations, relationship and psychosexual difficulties, worries related to unusual beliefs and experiences, and existential concerns about leading a meaningful and fulfilling life.
Dr Riches delivers a range of evidence-based psychological therapies, in particular cognitive behaviour therapy, and draws on related therapeutic modalities, such as positive psychology, dialectical behaviour therapy, and wellbeing approaches that support people to overcome obstacles, build resilience, and realise their potential. He works flexibly with clients to gain a shared understanding of their needs, manage their psychological difficulties, amplify their character strengths, and identify meaningful positive experiences. He provides psychological assessment and long- and short-term psychological therapy with individuals, couples, and families of all ages.
